What it is Like to Volunteer
At Catholic Charities, volunteers participate in miracles every single day — from serving at a food distribution to building bridges toward citizenship to helping a child with their learning at a shelter. We are always seeking individual volunteers for a variety of areas of need, and also welcome groups and families for one-day service projects. Catholic Charities is an open and welcoming community filled with volunteers from all walks of life and faiths — what binds us is the good work we do together.

Senior Programs
Through our Caring Voices and Caring Rides Programs, you can help seniors thrive in their own homes. Volunteers are asked to make a 2-4 hour a week commitment. Individuals participating in these programs must complete a background check.

Administration
Our administrative volunteers play a huge role in supporting our cause. We have regular opportunities as well as on-call options. Help our team with office support, deliveries, data entry, translation, and more. Individuals participating in these programs must complete a background check.

Food Distributions
Our food distributions run every week of the year! Help families put nourishing food on the table. Some heavy lifting required. Individuals participating in these programs must complete a background check.

Youth & Family Programs
As mom and dad navigate their housing search, their children are navigating their education. Your inspiration can make the process feel just a little bit easier. Volunteers are asked to make a 2-4 hour a week commitment. Individuals participating in these programs must complete a background check.

Catholic Charities Ambassadors
Help spread the word! As a Catholic Charities Ambassador, you can help us spread the good news about our work further than ever before. This commitment is flexible. Messaging training is provided.

Bilingual Support
Across our services, having helpful bilingual administrative support can make all the difference in communicating with our clients and the wider community. Prospective volunteers will be asked to take a short test to demonstrate proficiency.
